Shipping Guide

How to pack and ship cards safely so they arrive in the same condition they left.

Standard Single Card Packaging

  1. Place card in a penny sleeve (soft sleeve).
  2. Slide the sleeved card into a toploader (rigid plastic holder).
  3. Seal the toploader opening with a small piece of tape.
  4. Place in a team bag or wrap in paper to prevent movement.
  5. Ship in a bubble mailer or padded envelope.

⚠️ Do not use plain envelopes

Standard envelopes bend easily and can damage cards during postal sorting. Always use a toploader + bubble mailer.

Multiple Cards / Lots

  • Sleeve each card individually before bundling.
  • Bundle cards with a rubber band or in a card box with padding.
  • For large lots, use a small cardboard box with bubble wrap on all sides.
  • Make sure cards cannot shift during transit — fill empty space with packing material.

High-Value Cards ($100+)

  • Use a screw-down or magnetic case for graded or extremely high-value cards.
  • Always use tracked shipping for cards over $50.
  • Consider signature confirmation for cards over $200.
  • Take photos of the packaged card before sealing — this protects you in disputes.

Shipping Carriers

USPS First Class Mail2–5 days

Best for single cards under 1oz. Affordable but no tracking on the cheapest tier.

USPS Ground Advantage2–5 days

Tracking included. Good for multiple cards or small lots.

UPS / FedEx Ground1–5 days

Recommended for high-value lots or graded cards.

Dispute Protection

Always keep proof of shipment (tracking receipt) until the buyer confirms delivery and leaves feedback. If a buyer claims a card arrived damaged, photos you took before shipping serve as evidence in the Cards-BST dispute process.
